OnBoard Coaching is a process to insure the best and most effective transition of a new CEO. The first 90 to 120 days are the most critical for any new CEO, particularly those new to the position. Mistakes out of naiveté can cause irreparable damage to relationships at leadership, community and staff levels. Great potential can be squandered by a couple of early missteps; resulting in a mal-adaption that insures the failure of the CEO, the organization and the destination.

OnBoard Coaching has proven to be a valuable asset to the new CEO. It consists of an assessment of the CEO’s relative strengths and challenges combined with an assessment of the new situation. Then a transition plan is developed. The Coaching process is regularly scheduled contacts (usually twice monthly) to monitor the plan and assist with advice regarding issues that may arise. The Coach is also available 24/7 for any concerns the CEO may have.

  1. Key factors of the transition are identified and prioritized
  2. The new CEO has a clear transition plan to guide actions
