Joe Lathrop is President and Founder of OCG, a 26-year-old consulting firm specializing in destination marketing and development and serving a nationwide client base that also includes DMOs , city/county governments, , hotels, attractions, and associations. Mr. Lathrop specializes in organizational assessment and development, with an emphasis on strategic planning, destination development, board development and accountability.

He has provided executive coaching services over the past 20 years. Coaching participants have included executives from industries such as CVBs, healthcare, legal and professional sports.

He has worked with 100 destinations of all shapes and sizes and in every region of the country; and is a featured speaker on destination development issues, accountability and related tourism topics at the state and national level. He has authored a chapter on Board Governance for a text book published by the Destination Marketing Association International.
