Health Management Associates contracted with OCG to conduct
an employee survey throughout the organization. HMA included 44 separate
hospitals and more than 20,000 employees.
Due to the constraints of a hospital environment all surveys were distributed
in printed form and returned directly to OCG for processing. OCG coordinated
all logistics including providing on site facilitation of employee sessions
when warranted.
OCG generated individual hospital reports and a corporate wide report.
The corporate wide report was presented to corporate officers. All individual
hospitals could then compare their results with corporate wide results.
OCG was available for presentation of the results at each hospital.
Each hospital was required to create and action plan based on the results.
OCG provided action planning forms and consultation as requested by the
individual hospitals. OCG also, reviewed set of action plans to insure
that plans were consistent with the issues illustrated in the survey results.
Bi-annual follow-up surveys are anticipated.
